Michael D. D’Arcangelo, MT (ASCP), DLM, MS, MBA, has been named director of Shore Health Laboratories. He is responsible for all aspects of operations for the laboratories at The Memorial Hospital at Easton, Dorchester General Hospital and the pathology lab in Easton.

D’Arcangelo, who relocated to the Eastern Shore from Pittsburgh, earned a bachelor of science in biology from Shippensburg University, a master of science in human resource management from LaRoche College and a master of business administration from Duquesne University. He trained at the Mercy School of Medical Technology and is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a generalist and as a Diplomat in Laboratory Management.

D’Arcangelo’s 35-year laboratory career includes management positions at small, mid-size and large hospitals. His work in laboratory management for a Mid-West consulting firm included assignments in Louisiana, Washington, Oregon and the Middle East. He brings an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare business including staffing, marketing, automation, laboratory design and computerization.
