Frederick Douglass Honor Society Meeting

12th April 2010 | Posted in Community

The Frederick Douglass Honor Society’s next meeting will be on Monday, April 19 at 6:00pm at the Easton Welcome and Resource Center on Harrison Street. Members and community are invited to attend and discover ways that they too can contribute to the progress being made to honor Frederick Douglass. The April 19th meeting will recap the success of the Evening with Douglass program and silent auction as well as promote and discuss the Frederick Douglass/YMCA 10 Miler on 5/1. The May 1 race has garnered great community excitement with registrations being received from both local and nonlocal athletes. Maryland’s First Lady, Katie O’Malley will be present for the race event, adding her support to this important community event. In addition, the project status will be further updated as will the upcoming schedule of community outreach activities. With so much happening, Frederick Douglass would agree that his Honor Society is “accomplishing the possible”!
