The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), the conservative alternative to AARP, will conduct an informational meeting for Mid Shore seniors on Thursday, July 29 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church fellowship hall, 100 Peachblossom Rd., Easton from 10:00 to 11:30 AM. The featured speaker, Bev Kilmer, Director of Public Affairs and Ambassador Coordinator, will provide a thought provoking and stimulating overview of the AMAC purpose, mission, goals and actions. Directions to the church can be found at www.stmarkseaston.org.
Brad Powers, Easton resident, former AARP member and vice president of the local AARP Chapter, says that if you feel strongly that our freedom, which is guaranteed by the Constitution, is being threatened, that government is getting out of hand and that our way of life on the Shore is under attack, then, you don’t want to miss this very important meeting. Powers adds that, unlike AARP, AMAC clearly supports the Second Amendment to the Constitution protecting our rights to bear arms, which is so critical to the Eastern Shore tradition of goose, deer and small game hunting.
Kilmer states that AMAC believes in the traditional values of Faith – Family – Freedom that have made this country great. AMAC’s mission is to see that affordable and meaningful health care remains available for everyone, that taxes are not wasted on even more government run programs and, finally, that government stays out of our personal lives. As seniors, you can no longer count on AARP to put you first. They have sold out to the massive health care reform and liberal agendas. At the Association of Mature American Citizens, we believe in YOU, not Congress and the administration. Everything we do is all about protecting you and your family’s future. Please attend this meeting and see what AMAC is all about. You won’t be disappointed.
