Wilmington Trust has been named the lead sponsor to the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s (CBMM) 15th Annual Boating Party. With this year’s theme of “A Star Spangled Night on Navy Point, 1812-2012,” the tented event will be held September 8 along the museum’s waterfront campus in St. Michaels, MD.
The Boating Party is the museum’s signature fundraising event, with proceeds benefiting the children and adults served by the museum’s educational, exhibit, and boat restoration programs. Serving as co-chairs of this year’s event are Cynthia and Doug Jurrius, and Talli and Geoff Oxnam.
Set on Navy Point along the scenic Miles River, the September 8 gala begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a full-course gourmet dinner, catered by PeachBlossoms Events. Dinner will be followed by live music and dancing with the Motown band, The XPDs, and an after-party with a deejay and more dancing at the Van Lennep Auditorium.
