Homemade Popsicles

10th August 2012 | Posted in Recipes, What's Cooking

Popsicles are a great treat for everyone. What’s not so great are the prices in the grocery store and what they actually put in popsicles. I have found an easy, nutritious and delicious treat that you can make with many different juices and fruits.

Homemade Popsicles

2 cups of your favorite 100% juice
5 (5 ounce) paper cups
½ cup frozen or fresh, diced fruit
5 wooden sticks

Pour the juice in the paper cups. Divide the fruit equally in each cup.

Cover with aluminum foil and insert the stick thru the center.

Freeze for at least 3 hours or until frozen hard. When you are ready to eat the popsicles, run warm water over the sides of the cup to loosen, remove the cup and enjoy!

***There are so many great combinations you can try. I hope you have fun trying different fruits and juices. Some that I have tried are strawberries and blueberries with berry juice, apples or pears with apple juice, pears and or peaches with white grape and peach juice.

This is a great treat for a hot summer day. Have fun with your creations and enjoy!!
