I am a literacy educator who is committed to helping all children be functional readers. I live on Kent Island and host a tutoring service here as well. By day, I am a 5th grade teacher in AA Co. My training is in the Orton-Gillingham reading method, the perscription for dyslexia and for all stuggling readers.

Being a community leader is an awesome task. Their community members look to them to help solve community problems. Grass root agendas beg for attention from these influential people.
A local educator is striving to be heard. Patricia Cipriano, of My Kids' Tutor LC, has a vision, that with the help of community leaders, she can reach all struggling readers at the most important intervention moment.
The first order of business is to find community leaders who care about the area youngsters who are atruggling with school, but whose families do not have the means for private tutoring and necessary intervention.
Mrs. Cipriano's idea is to join one leader with one student for one year and with her Orton training, create one literate student, one fulfilled adult and one program that addresses a need for underprivledged kids in our community.
