Fire investigators say the fire that damaged new playground equipment at Kent Island Elementary School causing $35,000 was deliberately set. The playground is one of two near the school on Elementary Way; the other playground apparently was not damaged. The Fire Marshal's office is offering a reward for information leading to the arsonist.
