"CALL TO ARTISTS, CRAFTERS AND FRIENDS"
Save the Dates - (Nov 20th and Nov 21st) - and Help KIFA

As announced on the front of our October Schedule of Events, KIFA will be holding a wreath-making decorating party on Friday, Nov 20th and Saturday, November 21st (come either or both days, for as little or as long as you can) as a fund-raiser for KIFA. We are calling on all artists, crafters, interested members and friends to participate. No experience is necessary. There will be people to help and demo. You may come to the party and help decorate a beautiful wreath or swag for us to sell, or decorate a wreath or swag at home and deliver it to us. We plan to sell the wreaths in front of Safeway on Nov 22nd and ask some local businesses to allow us to display on their doors. If you wish to make an artificial wreath, that's fine too, but we will be providing mainly live greens. Some people have expressed interest in doing artificial wreaths using dried hydrangeas, flowers, sea grasses, etc. This is a great idea and can be done either before or during the party. Most of those supplies will be provided by the artist. We welcome all your creative ideas and energy."

Location: CBEC (Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center), off Perry Corner Rd in Grasonville (new education center).

Date & Time: Fri., Nov 20th from Noon to 4p.m. or Sat., Nov 21, from 10a.m. to 4p.m. Please come for any amount of time you can spare.

Details: KIFA will provide certain raw materials (some greens, pine cones, holly, magnolia leaves, etc, ribbon, wire and frames), as well as hot cocoa, cider, cookies, holiday music, and sale tags. BRING A BAG LUNCH!

We need: You, your enthusiasm, any decorative items you can spare, ribbons, ornaments, glitter, gloves, clippers, wire cutters, glue guns & sticks, etc. If you have evergreen branches, pine cones, holly or other raw materials you don't need, bring those too. Anyone with a truck or SUV to transport some wreaths would be appreciated also, especially toward end of day.

We plan to sell the wreaths and swags for around $30 or so depending on size. (There will be no artist commission; this is a donation to help KIFA, but you may buy a wreath or swag made at the party).

We will also need some volunteers to help sell our beautiful creations at Safeway on Sunday, Nov 22, from 1 to 4p.m. Ideas, expertise in wreath-making, some assistance with loading, lifting, transporting, any time you can contribute even if not making a wreath or swag -- all welcome.
