The Easton Branch of the American Association of University Women is sponsoring a bus trip to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Tour highlights include a stroll through “the Yard” and visits to historic and beautiful beaux arts buildings, including the Chapel and Crypt of John Paul Jones. The curator of the U.S. Naval Academy Museum will conduct a portion of the tour. The tour will be followed by high tea at the Officers’ and Faculty Club. Everyone will receive a USNA souvenir teaspoon and postcard booklet.

The cost of the tour, lunch snack, high tea, souvenirs and transportation is $80 per person and open to the public. This event benefits the Easton Branch’s Mature Woman’s Education Grant which provides assistance to Eastern Shore women, over the age of 25 who are returning to school for a certificate degree, baccalaureate degree or higher education.

The AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
