Helping Hands and Autism Support Groups in Queen Anne’s County will join together in August for discussion on Being Prepared for the upcoming School Year.
Does your child have an IEP or 504 plan?
Do you feel prepared for your child to start a new year at school with new teachers and possibly a new school environment?
For children with Special Education needs a new school year transition can bring on fears and anxiety. If you are organized and prepared, the transition can go much smoother for both you and your child.
Learn how to prepare a folder of information about your child that will better inform their teacher(s) of their needs.
Discuss ways to have better communication with teachers.
Managing your child’s documents can be overwhelming, learn which documents are important to keep and why.
