Harmony On The Bay Chorus

Harmony On The Bay Chorus announces that on January 19, 2011, we reached our one-year anniversary as an Official, Sweet Adeline Chartered Chorus.

We are an enthusiastic group, under the direction of a dedicated lover of Barbershop, Sharon Ehrisman. Sharon travels many miles to facilitate the kind of barbershop harmony that we strive to achieve together. Our first competition with Region 19, April 2010 in Ocean City, Maryland, was thrilling, as most of our members were new to barbershop.

Established July 24th, 2007, with eleven members, this young chorus is composed of a group of of women who love to sing and entertain. We are bursting with song in Centreville, Maryland.

Harmony on the Bay encourages anyone who enjoys singing popular tunes to join us for practice on Tuesday nights at 7:15 p.m. We meet at Centreville United Methodist Church on Route 213 (Church Hill Road). We run the gamut from veterans to newbies and welcome all ages. Some activities include singing at community days, holiday parties, church concerts, sing flings, picnics and pool parties, as well as at our Queen For A Day fundraiser.

Four years have sped by with so many new memories. Some highlights of the last four years include performances at Kent Island Heritage Days, the Animal Resource Cookout, a Chesapeake College Broadway Review, holiday parties and Christmas church services. We also sang at the Queen Anne’s County Fair, William Hill Manor, and the Wellness for Women Annual Dinner.

Harmony On The Bay’s director and members are looking forward to the future. Excitement is in the air. There is no stopping what’s on the horizon for Harmony On The Bay!
