What types of articles are accepted?
We accept news articles, commentaries, event announcements...just about anything so long as it pertains to Eastern Shore Life. Of course, we ask that all news articles are factually based and we reserve the right to deny any article or to request source verification. But we expect that most articles will be well within our guidelines.
We'd like you to have fun with this...post news articles about your kid's little league games, about the car show last weekend, or the fundraiser your favorite charity just held...the sky is the limit!
How about Event Announcements?
Absolutely. We have a special category for Event Announcements so that you can promote your future events too! The Event Announcements are also feature right on the home page.
What is the difference between submitting an Event Announcement and posting the event on the Events Calendar?
Well, we hope you'll do both! The Event Announcements through our article software gives you a chance to say whatever you'd like in an article format...and it is featured on the home page. The Events Calendar features all events in a traditional calendar format with only basic details given until a visitor clicks the event for more details.
What about Commentary?
Yes we have a category for that too! Feel like you have something to say? Submit an commentary article and choose the commentary category and it will posted appropriately. Have a blog? Post your articles here too...and you can even link to your blog!
