Benefits Kent Island Optimist's Club SHOP WITH A HERO
SHOP WITH A HERO partners local youth with a police officer or fire fighter to shop for Christmas gifts with their hero. This allows the children to interact with local police and fire fighters in a positive and personal setting. After shopping, they enjoy breakfast at the American Legion Post 278. While the officers and children enjoy their meal, members of the Optimist club and other volunteers wrap the gifts the children have purchased.
No items exchangeable or redeemable for cash or jewelry. Class certificates must be used by 6/30/2027. Winners will be given a selection of dates to choose from for the class. Classes are not private and size of class is limited to 10. Class bookings are non-refundable. You may reschedule your class once, provided you request the change at least seven days before your scheduled date. Cancellations or changes made within the seven days of the class, as well as cancelling a rescheduled class, will result in the forfeiture of your booking.
