Come to the Mill on Saturday, June 20th from 10 am to 3pm for an early celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary as a nation. The Chesapeake Independent Blues will be returning, this time as Revolutionary War soldiers. They will be demonstrating the use of revolutionary war muskets and, weather permitting, they will be firing them for a very realistic experience.

Also available throughout the day, guests can enjoy a full schedule of activities, including:

• Rick Culotta will return to the Mill, this time as Col. William Hemsley and share important events of Col. Hemsley’s life while he owned the Mill (1778-1793).
• A display of flags from the Revolutionary War era.
• Hands-on grinding on the “quern” for children of all ages.
• The Mill wheels will be grinding grain in fresh flour.
