2009 Local Color Show

The 2009 LOCAL COLOR show will be held concurrently with and under the auspices of the fifth annual Plein Air Easton Competition and Arts Festival. LOCAL COLOR is co-hosted by The Working Artists Forum, Inc. and the St. Michaels Art League. All artists living on the Delmarva Peninsula are invited to participate in this event. Artists to be showcased in LOCAL COLOR may not participate in the Plein Air Easton Competition. All entries must be original plein air work completed within the last two years, depicting the beauty of the Eastern Shore.

LOCAL COLOR will be juried by Larry Moore, winner of the 2008 Plein Air Easton “Quick Draw” competition. The show will be judged on opening day by Greg LaRock, grand prize winner, 2008 Plein Air Easton Competition. “Best in Show” award will be $600.00. Additional cash awards will be presented in the categories of Architectural, Exterior Floral, Marine and Pastoral.

All juried LOCAL COLOR paintings will be displayed, and for sale, at the historic Tidewater Inn in Easton, Maryland from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26.
