The Rotary Club of Centreville, Maryland hosts their 38th annual Artisans’ Festival featuring over seventy artists and crafters from throughout the Delmarva Peninsula, exhibiting a wide range of talents and treasures ranging from paintings, pottery and basketry to stained glass, wood carving, jewelry, and more. The show includes some of the finest decoy carvers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. In addition to the sale of art and craft items, there will be a number of interesting demonstrations, including wood carving and turning, cider making, bee keeping, llamas, and old fashioned shingle splitting. Children’s activities, good food, numerous antique cars and the opportunity to visit the Museum of Eastern Shore Life make for a fun and rewarding day for all ages.
Admission is free, but donations are welcomed. All proceeds go to worthwhile charities, including youth scholarships, operation of the regional shelter for victims of domestic violence, participation in the Rotary worldwide project to eradicate polio and much more.
