Opening for business just three weeks ago, Classic Pizza in Stevensville provides a simple approach to restaurant dining.
Proprietor, Jose “Freddie” Ramos, offers authentic, fresh Italian cuisine for eat-in or carryout. Conveniently located off Love Point Road, at 112 St. Clair Place, Suite 102, Classic Pizza is the perfect stop for locals to grab a quick lunch or dinner on the way home after a busy day, or for Kent Island High School students to gather for a bite to eat after school.
Freddie says he chose the location because it is easy to get to, even from Rt. 50 and has ample parking.
Menu items include fresh salads such as favorites like Caesar, Greek and Chef salads. Side orders of Garlic Knots, Mozzarella Sticks, Onion Rings, Jalapeno Poppers and traditional French Fries are also available.
Specialties include Calzones, Stromboli’s, Pizza Rolls, Zeppi and Stuffed Pizza among others. Classic Pizza also offers an assortment of 8-inch and 12-inch hot and cold subs, and many pasta dishes including Baked Ziti, Spaghetti with Meatballs and Lasagna.
Of course, true to their name, a variety of pizza is among the menu items. Classic’s thin crust pizzas are reminiscent of authentic New York Style pizza, while their Sicilian Pizza embodies a thicker crust. Pizzas are available in 10-inch, 14-inch and 16-inch sizes as well as by the slice.
Everything served at Classic Pizza is made fresh on the premises. Additionally, they have no problem customizing orders for their patrons who want something that is not on the menu. According to Freddie, the restaurant’s specialties are buffalo-style wings and their cheese steak subs. If you are having a party, why not try a pizza and wing combo?
If the menu items seem familiar, that is because Freddie worked with a partner at Kent Island’s Carini’s Pizza, a restaurant that closed more than a year ago. A family-owned business, Classic Pizza now offers the same taste and menu items locals grew to love at Carini’s. Freddie says, since the shop opened, business is already looking good with many of his old customers happy to find the great meals they once enjoyed.
Not only does Classic Pizza offer fresh food and good service, their prices are comparatively reasonable. Plans for the restaurant may include delivery service to local businesses and communities in the near future.
Classic Pizza is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For customer convenience, Classic Pizza accepts Visa and MasterCard.
