AAUW to visit the Newseum in Washington, DC

The Easton Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will sponsor a bus trip to the Newseum in Washington, DC on Saturday, February 7, 2009. The Newseum is advertised as the world’s most interactive museum, taking its visitors behind the scenes to experience not only the history of news, but also how and why news is made.

The bus will leave the old Lowes Parking lot at 9:00 AM and returns at 5:30 PM.

The cost of the tour, including transportation and ticket to the Newseum is $55.00 for adults and $50.00 for children under 12. Lunch is on your own, either in the Wolfgang Puck Café, food court or suggested restaurants in the area. The event benefits the Easton Branch’s Mature Woman’s Educational Grant and is open to the public.

The AAUW mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research.
