Authorities arrested a man in connection with the attempted robbery of the Family Dollar store on 213. Centreville police have not yet identified the man, and say they are talking to the state’s attorney before filing charges. The store called police after the suspect asked a clerk for a job application, but pulled a knife when told the store was not taking applications. The clerk panicked and locked herself in the office at the back of the store.
