December 5: “Heck with the Malls!” 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Experience holiday shopping at its best with artists, artisans and fine crafters, and a town wide open house. In its 12th year, this annual event is a must do! Featuring hand-crafted soaps and lotions, artisan created fashions for people and pets, jewelry, one-of-a-kind purses, holiday ornaments, gouache paintings, photography, sea glass mosaics from glass found in the Chester River, ceramics, wildlife carvings, wood sculpture, hand forged architectural ironwork, home accessories, and book signings. Downtown Centreville merchants will have extra discounts and refreshments for holiday shoppers.
