October 1-23 and 28-31: Member’s Best Exhibits. Area artist and artisan members of the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council display their work at the following Centreville locations: The Centreville National Bank, PNC Bank, Ashley Premier Properties, The Liberty Building, Queen Anne’s County Partnerships for Children, and The Delmarva Financial Group. October 10: Stamp Club. Make your own holiday cards session! Fun with paper, rubber stamps, inks and ephemera. The topics and materials may change from month to month, but the fun and creativity is always there. You can work on your own projects if you like. November 21: “Off the Boat” Concert with James Gallagher. 6:30 pm. Irish Music and After Party featuring “Off the Boat” with James Gallagher of County Donegal, Ireland. Step lightly into the winter months with the warmth of Irish music and lore. Cash bar and delicious Irish cuisine. Doors open 6 p.m. Concert at 6:30. December 5: “Heck with the Malls!” 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Experience holiday shopping at its best with artists, artisans and fine crafters, and a town wide open house. In its 12th year, this annual event is a must do! Featuring hand-crafted soaps and lotions, artisan created fashions for people and pets, jewelry, one-of-a-kind purses, holiday ornaments, gouache paintings, photography, sea glass mosaics from glass found in the Chester River, ceramics, wildlife carvings, wood sculpture, hand forged architectural ironwork, home accessories, and book signings. Downtown Centreville merchants will have extra discounts and refreshments for holiday shoppers. December 12: Holiday Dance Party & Christmas Showcase. 7-10:30 p.m. Dancers of all levels will enjoy an evening of music and mirth with Amanda Showell.
