April 1-30: Spring classes continue at the Centre for the Arts in Centreville. Tap, Ballroom, Mixed Media Art & Guitar Jam for homeschoolers, PMC Lacy Bead, Beyond Storytelling: Writing the Narrative Poem, Zumba, Youth Fitness, Kick Box, Stability Ball Training, Crop Club and Stamp Club. 410.758.2520

April 1-30: Member’s Best Exhibits. Area artist and artisan members of the Queen Anne’s County Arts Council display their work at the following Centreville locations: The Centreville National Bank, PNC Bank, Ashley Premier Properties, An Optical Galleria, Queen Anne’s County Partnerships for Children, and Delmarva Financial Group. Area artists featured at all locations. Work are for sale in a variety of media. The exhibits are open during regular business hours. 410.758.2520

April 3-25: Exhibit: Carroll Kehne, “Woodcuts, A Pirate’s Tale”: View wood cut prints created for Kehne’s book. Open to the public. Free. Exhibit hours are T-F 9 am – 5 pm and Sat 10 am – 2 pm. Centre for the Arts 410.758.2520

April 22: Beginning Argentine Tango Workshop with Amanda Showell: These mini workshops are a great way to learn some new steps. Held at QAC Arts Council, Centre for the Arts, 206 S. Commerce St., Centreville. Cost is $25. 410.758.2520

April 25: Wood Cut Demonstration and book signing by artist Carroll Kehne, Centre for the Arts, 206 South Commerce Street, Centreville 11:00 am. Free. Pre-registration required by April 22. 410.758.2520.

May 1: “New Perspectives” 4 to 6 pm. Public reception for photographic artists from the Benedictine School. May 1: Scholarship Deadline: The QAC Arts Council offers two, one-thousand dollar awards to high school seniors pursuing a college degree in the arts. 410.752.2520

May 5: Dedication: Front & Centre: The QAC Arts Council, Centre for the Arts invites the public for the dedication of their public art project featuring the metal work of Robert Seely. 4:30 pm Opening address by Frank Kratovil. Music & refreshments. 410.758.2520. RSVP by April 29.

May 9: Stamp Club: Fun with paper, rubber stamps, inks and ephemera. The topics and materials may change from month to month, but the fun and creativity is always there. May 31: Crop Club: Join paper crafter Cathy Downes on the last Sunday of each month having fun and making progress on your memories with unique album designs. All experience levels are welcome. June 13: Retro Dance Party with championship dancer Amanda Showell. Prizes for best retro look, twist contest and door prizes. Only 100 tickets on sale for this fundraising party at the QAC Arts Council, 7 pm. $18 advance tickets, $20 at door. 410.758.2520

June 27: Art of the Deals: 9am-1pm. Community wide event featuring an indoor yard sale at the Centre for the Arts, a farmers market, music, demonstrations and information tables on the Courthouse Green.
