“Sheriff’s Units responded to the Cracker Barrel Restaurant for a report assault in progress. Upon arrival they found an off duty Prince George’s Police Officer detaining a person. The officer reported that he had observed two subjects as he was exiting the restaurant talking and one person shoved the other, who was a Cracker Barrel Employee. The officer proceeded to his car and drove by the two and saw the cracker barrel employee being struck again on the side of her head by the other person.

The PG Officer exited his car and “”took down the aggressor”” to the ground and detained the person until Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and placed the subject under arrest. Only at that time did the PG Officer realize that the suspect was a female.

The victim was Leah Ann Duty of Centreville. The suspect was identified as Ikea Nicole Jackson (20) of Chestertown, Md. She was charged with assault 2nd degree. After processing, she was released on her own recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.”
