Introduce your youngster to tumbling in one of three age appropriate courses offered this month on Kent Island by Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation. Each course is offered at Kent Narrows Center and costs $75.
Wiggles & Giggles, for ages one to three, teaches creative movement activities that are designed to encourage the development of body awareness, hand-eye coordination, balance, agility, and self-esteem. Participation of a playful parent is required. Wiggles & Giggles is offered Wednesdays, March 18 – May 6, 2009 from 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The program registration number is 415010. For those ages three to five, Rumble Tumble Tots teaches skills such as forward roll, crab walk, bridge, handstand and more. Props such as hoops, ribbons and the balance beam add to the fun. Kids love this introductory tumbling class which is offered on three different dates and times;

Another popular beginners’ class is Tumbling which is geared towards older children ages six to eight. This class teaches moves such as the forward roll, crab walk, bridge and handstand.
