The new clubhouse at Blue Heron Golf Course is open and serving lunch and golf deals.

Each Wednesday and Friday, the Blue Heron Golf & Lunch Special offers 18-holes greens fee, cart and lunch for $25 or 9-holes greens fee, cart & lunch for $15.

“The nice thing about our location is that you don’t have to be a golfer to stop in for a meal or a cold drink,” said Eric Beaufait, golf course operations manager. “The Kent Island South Trail is right next to the clubhouse so anyone biking or walking the trail can stop for refreshments.”

In addition to the new clubhouse, the golf course also has a new cart barn and golf carts. A dedication ceremony for the new facilities will be held 10 a.m. August 8, at Blue Heron Golf Course. The public is welcome to attend and check out the new facilities.
