Hugh Dawkins, Chairman of the Blue Ribbon Commission Oversight Committee, and Blenda Armistead, Committee member, recently provided a presentation to the Rotary Club of Easton at the Rustic Inn on the status of the Oversight Committee. Dawkins reported that TalbotCounty has among the highest rates of substance abuse rates in the State and gave a progress report on how Talbot County has begun to address this problem. The presentation included the progress that has occurred in applying BRC strategies in three areas: changing community attitudes, decreasing access, and implementing early intervention.
