“Easton Police responded to three bomb threats within the town limits within 35 minutes of each other. An anonymous call to Easton Memorial Hospital claimed that a bomb would go off on the premises within two hours. The hospital was evacuated of all non-essential personnel; however, patients and the medical staff caring for them were forced to remain in the building. Police and K-9 units searched the building but found no explosives and the hospital was reopened. Five minutes after the call to the hospital, the same threat was made against the Walgreens on Route 50. Thirty minutes later, the third threat was made against the Norris Ford Building. The “”Star Democrat”” reports that police traced the call to the hospital to a pay phone in Sherwood.
