Byerly Joins Center for Integrative Medicine

Silvia Byerly, L.Ac., has joined the staff of the Center for Integrative Medicine in Easton as an acupuncture practitioner. She uses acupuncture to help clients live a fuller and more balanced life by addressing physical, mental and emotional issues.

Byerly, who lives in Queenstown, is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and foreign languages. She worked as a flight attendant and language teacher and translator for over 10 years. Byerly earned a master of acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland. She is a member of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association, the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and the Maryland Acupuncture Society.

Byerly’s community affiliations include volunteering with Queen Anne’s Hospice and the Chesapeake Wildlife Heritage.

The Center for Integrative Medicine is an affiliate of Shore Health System. The center is staffed by clinical professionals licensed to practice acupuncture, massage therapy, reflexology and psychotherapy. In individual sessions and group workshops these healthcare providers combine conventional and complementary medicine to explore the relationship between body, mind and spirit and to awaken the depth, richness and vitality of the human experience.
