Queen Anne’s County’s FY 2007 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

Eren Rose, Chief Accounting Officer for Queen Anne’s County, accepted the award on behalf of her staff. Rose and her staff were recognized by the Queen Anne’s County Commissioners for their dedication and hard work, as well as their technical expertise in preparing the annual report.

The Government Finance Officers Association established the award in 1945 to encourage and assist state and local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles and to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure. The award is also given to recognize individual governments who achieve these goals.
