“All Upper Shore Administrative Professionals are invited to join Chesapeake College and the Tidewater Chapter MD International Association of Administrative Professionals ® (IAAP) to celebrate National Administrative Professionals Day on Friday, April 24th. This year’s theme, “”Excellence in Motion””, denotes how career-minded administrative professionals are positioning themselves for success in today’s ever-changing business environment by mastering advanced office technology, continually honing their communication skills, forging collaborative relationships with managers and co-workers, and taking charge of their own career development!

This year’s morning keynote speaker is Emily Ellis, Vice President of Gaylord Entertainment. Ellis created the STAR culture of “service excellence” that has become a hallmark of the Gaylord Hotels brand. Prior to Gaylord, Ellis was an executive with Walt Disney World. The afternoon will feature Rita Mielke, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Centreville National Bank. Mielke is a well known presenter on the Eastern Shore who entertains and enlightens participants with her “Mielke Ways”.

Breakout sessions, featuring Ray Wenderlich, Mike Linardi, George Sellers, Christine Wright, Ummu Thomas, Emilio Williams, Ryan Mazzarino, Jamie Gunsallus, and Dr. Christopher Cianci, will offer participants the opportunity to discover practical skills in managing their careers and lives with professionalism, authority, and success.
