Have you ever said to yourself, “I need to start writing my life’s story”? If so, “Capturing your Life’s Story: A Memoir Writing Course” is for you! Joan Katz will guide students during this 5 session class which starts on Monday, July 14 and offered through July 23 (M, W, and F) from 10 am – 12 pm at the Museum of Rural Life in Denton. Participants will explore writing topics, learn to use resources, and connect with others during the journey of writing their legacy.
“Recounting your life’s experiences is like stepping into a time machine and revisiting your fond memories of years gone by,” said Marci Leach, Director of Continuing Education and Workforce Training at Chesapeake College. “It is a perfect way to share stories, adventures, and family history with your loved ones. For people who like to scrapbook, this class is a perfect companion class!”
Class fees include $10.00 for tuition and $60.00 course fee. On the first day of class, the instructor will collect a materials fee of $30.00; this will cover all the supplies and organizing systems needed for the class.
Be sure to check the college’s website, www.chesapeake.edu, or catalog to find additional summer courses! For more information, call 410-827-5833.
