The General Manager, Tammy Green discovered upon arriving to work, that unknown person(s) had burglarized the office at Chesapeake Motel overnight. Entry had been made thru a side window and a 2×2 safe was missing. Items in the safe included an unknown amount of cash, blank checks and assorted keys.

The safe was later located in one of the vacant motel rooms forced open with its contents missing.

Losses and damages were estimated at $1,000.
