Features shootin’ stool competitions, antique decoy contest, auction, buy, sell, and trade, pig roast, and chicken BBQ. This two-day event pays tribute to the old decoy and encourages the carving of new ones. The parking lot is a marketplace for buying, selling and trading of antique and contemporary waterfowling items. Free appraisals of decoys available both days.

Friday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. enjoy an Eastern Shore Pig Roast. On Saturday, the Annual Chesapeake Challenge Competition draws decoy makers from around the mid-Atlantic region who compete for prizes in the floating decoy, shorebird, woodpecker and contemporary antique decoy divisions; owners of working decoys made prior to 1950 compete in the “Old Birds” Antique Decoy Competition.

Nature walks, carving demos and children’s crafts are held on Saturday. Pig roast tickets are $13 at the museum gift shop. Chicken barbeque is for sale Saturday11 a.m.-2 p.m.
