As part of its system preservation program, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) will soon repair the overhead lighting on the MD 213 (Maple Avenue/Church Hill Road) Bridge over the Chester River in Chestertown, Kent County. Work includes repair and maintenance for ten overhead light poles and three pendant lights on the bridge. To protect workers and motorists, there will be daytime single lane closures on Thursday, February 19 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, work will take place on February 20. Variable message signs, temporary traffic signs, cones and barrels will guide motorists through the work zone during the $10,000 project.
