Chestertown Approves Wireless Tower

The Chestertown Tourism Advisory Board approved a wireless tower to be built by Verizon near Still Pond. Opponents say the location will ruin the rural landscape and the village. Verizon says the towers don’t affect property values, but some local real estate agents testified that they do. Board member Trey Hill told the “”Star Democrat”” that many people who come to the area on vacation need to use their cell phones.
