Chestertown Considers Ordinances

The Chestertown town council is considering two new ordinances: one would clamp down on outdoor lights used by residents after dark; and the second would tighten up noise limits, making new noise limits 65 DB during the day and 55DB at night. Mayor Margo Bailey says the lighting regulations are meant to keep the glow off the skyline and let people see the sky. Noise limits are aimed at cutting noise at unruly outdoor parties and vehicles without mufflers.
