“Easton Police reported an attempted carjacking in the Staples parking lot on Elliot Road. Elizabeth Moran was getting into her PT cruiser when they say Michael Anthony Best of Chestertown jumped into the passenger seat. He reportedly told Moran, “”This is a robbery, I will not kill you.”” The victim was able to escape. The suspect fled and was later found by police hiding inside the Top Nail Salon. Best is being held on $25,000 bond.”
