Chestertown Man Charged With Impersonating Cop

Two police officers investigating allegations of prostitution at an Annapolis hotel last weekend were not officers after all. Police say 20-year-old Devan Williams of Chestertown and an unidentified 17-year-old boy had stolen uniform shirts from the Annapolis police station by gaining entry through the station’s unlocked front door. Hotel staff alerted police. Both have been charged with impersonating an officer, burglary and theft.
