Chestertown Man Charged With Rape

Police charged a Chestertown man with rape and kidnapping. The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff‘s Office said 28-year-old Norberto DeLeon is accused of raping a 17-year-old girl with whom he previously had a relationship and with whom he has a 19-month-old child. Police allege DeLeon forcibly removed the girl from her home in Church Hill earlier this week then took her against her will to his home on Rolph’s Wharf Road. The girl took the child with her, and police said the child allegedly was left unattended in the car while the girl and DeLeon were inside his home.

Police allege DeLeon assaulted and raped the girl, drove her back to her home, then drove off with the child. Police said the girl called police who later found the child in the home of DeLeon’s mother in Church Hill. DeLeon is charged with second-degree rape, second-degree assault and kidnapping. He was ordered held on $5,000 bail at the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center.
