Citizens Wanted For Bicycle And Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are looking for interested citizens to serve on the newly formed Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The committee’s charge will be to advise and make recommendations to the county on bicycle and pedestrian access issues.

The County Commissioners will appoint seven members to the committee with one member from each of the four election districts. Terms will be staggered on initial membership with all members serving three year terms thereafter.

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee will work independently and in conjunction with county employees and staff. The committee members will identify, evaluate and seek out grants and other financial sources available for the development and maintenance of bicycle and pedestrian facilities and may make recommendations to the County Commissioners.
