Karissa Ellis of Denton is recovering after being bitten by a rabid fox outside her home. The fox got too close to her kids, so Ellis intervened and was bitten on an arm and leg. The fox was beaten to death by her husband and then shot by a neighbor to make sure it was dead. Ellis now must undergo preventive treatment.
