The Queen Anne’s County Department of Public Works Advisory Board will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, September 10 at 4:00 p.m. at the Department of Land Use, Growth Management and Environment at 160 Coursevall Drive in Centreville. The meeting is open to the public.
The agenda includes a report concerning two consultant studies regarding sewer and water services in the Kent Narrows/Stevensville/Grasonville service area. Springsted from Richmond, Virginia has been hired to update the County Water & Sewer Rate schedules. Springsted will be presenting initial rate schedule fee alternatives to the Board and outlining the respective advantages of the available options. The final selection process is underway to choose a firm to study the impacts of extending water and sewer facilities to southern Kent Island. A report on the status of the evaluation and selection process will be summarized by Public Works officials.
The meeting will be video-taped and aired on the County’s local access cable television station QACTV-7.
