On Wednesday, October 1, Shore Health System and The Wellness Community-Delmarva will offer the workshop “Frankly Speaking about Advanced Breast Cancer.” This free dinner meeting will be held at the Waterview Grille at The Easton Club, 28449 Clubhouse Drive in Easton. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.
Featured speakers are medical oncologist David Halverson, MD, and medical social worker Pam Black, LCSW-C, OSW-C. They will discuss the latest treatments for advanced or metastatic breast cancer. In addition to learning about side effects and side effect management, participants will hear about the social and emotional challenges of the diagnosis from women living with advanced breast cancer.
