Discover The Secrets Of Drawing Cartoons With Rick Kollinger

“Are you interested in learning to draw cartoons and create side-splitting humor? Join Rick Kollinger this summer at the Oxford Community Center to learn the tricks of the trade and how to draw “funny”.

During the program, Kollinger will describe the many ways to find inspiration for funny ideas and how to incorporate the ideas to create comic strips, greeting cards and editorial cartoons. Topics will include creating the figures, adding action, and making the figures “come alive” by adding humor.

Kollinger is an 18 time winner of the Maryland, Delaware and DC Press Association’s Award for Editorial Cartooning including “Best in Show” recipient for three years, winner of the national Fischetti Award for Editorial Cartooning, and has twice been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. He has appeared in three major motion pictures and is a former co-host of the TV show “Shore Talk”. His political/humor column has entertained readers in the Star Democrat.
