State Police are investigating a case in Chestertown where 19-year-old James Reed allegedly was punching his girlfriend when he missed her and instead hit her four-day-old son on top of the head. The infant apparently was not seriously hurt, but was airlifted to Hopkins as a precaution. Reed is being held on $50,000 bond.
