Easton Man Arrested For Bomb Threats

Easton police arrested 38-year-old John Henry Bedford in connection with a string of bomb threats made July 28th. The police traced at least two of the calls to a pay phone in front of the Sherwood Post Office. Bomb threats were made to Walgreen’s, Easton Memorial Hospital and Norris Ford. Authorities say Bedford was picked out of a lineup, and his Ford Excursion was seen at the phone booth in that time frame. Bedford reportedly made the bomb threats in an attempt to keep from going to court. Bedford, now free on bond, faces numerous charges, including reckless endangerment.
