Whether you are a resident of Easton or a visitor to our charming community, take a moment to drop into the Octoberfest, sponsored by The Women’s Guild of Saints Peter and Paul (SSPP) Church, Easton, on October 25 from 8:30 AM to 3PM at the SSPP Elementary School, 900 High Street, Easton.
In keeping with their tradition of providing beautiful items for sale, the ladies promise an even more exceptional array of goods this year. This family event includes exquisite handmade items, a treasure of brand new items at 50% off, a silent auction featuring a hand crafted dollhouse, raffle of a handmade quilt, vintage jewelry, flowers and plants, delectable baked goods, books and CD’s, and a Kids Korner. Gourmet chef Brad Heck will offer his own special barbeque and other luncheon treats sure to please adults and children.
The exquisite doll house to be featured at the silent auction was crafted by John and Margie Heck, local artists well-known for their work in miniatures.
The quilt to be raffled is described as a snowball nine patch scrap pattern. It was constructed over many hours by 15 members of the guild under the leadership of Sandy Bemis and Ann Ellis. The quilt reverses to a lovely toile print. Raffle tickets may be purchased at the SSPP Church Rectory, 7906 Ocean Gateway, Easton. Winner need not be present to win. Proceeds from the quilt raffle will go toward the planned Family Life Center which will benefit the entire community.
Co-chairs of the Octoberfest are Margie Heck and Adrianna Lee. For more information contact Evelyn Capuano at (410) 822-4141.
