Rob Edler is the new Police Chief in Chestertown. Edler’s confirmation as the chief of police makes him the first in Chestertown to make it all the way from new recruit to chief in 22 years. Edler was interim chief for nearly a year while the town went through the interview process. There were 13 candidates for the job, some coming from as far away as Florida.
