Edler Questioned By Council On Police Reports

The most recent Chestertown Town Council meeting featured a Q and A between Councilman Marty Stetson and acting Police Chief Rob Edler. Stetson wanted to know about the latest police report showing nearly 950 calls for service during September, including such items as officers washing their cars, answering information calls or performing administrative activities. Stetson questioned whether those activities were really calls for service. Edler said many of those activities qualified as calls for service, including investigating 911 hang-up calls, which also were on the report.
