Join the Easton Volunteer Fire Department on October 15th, 2008 at 6:00 pm to hear Chief Billy Goldfeder present Fireground Injury and Death: Firefighters & Fire Officers Survival Program as part of the year-long celebration of the EVFD’s 200th birthday.
Chief Goldfeder’s multi-media presentation will focus on the lessons learned through recent fireground tragedies in order to identify and prevent potential injuries or deaths. Using case studies and open discussion, Chief Goldfeder will examine past disasters in order to encourage public safety personnel to make sure that “everyone goes home.”
Chief Goldfeder, Deputy Chief of the Loveland-Symmes (OH) Fire Department, is an Associate/Contributing Editor for Fire Engineering, Fire Rescue, and Firehouse magazines, as well as co-host of www.FireFighterCloseCalls.com. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the September 11th Families Association, the Board of Directors of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, and is the Chair of the International Association of Fire Chiefs Safety, Health, and Survival Section.
