The 116th annual Maryland State Fireman’s Association convention opened at the Ocean City Convention Center with Governor Martin O’Malley and Senator Barbara Mikulski addressing the gathering. The association represents 392 fire and rescue companies and related organizations statewide. More than 30,000 rescue workers and family members were expected to attend the convention. Attendees were able to see new rescue equipment and hone their skills.
